Aside from some logistical mixups with ticketing, drifting, gymkhana, and awards, HIN/NOPI was a nice weekend gathering of different automotive enthusiasts. However, it was nothing like it used to be years ago. While I don’t remember drifting at HIN in DC, the show was top notch with a real ‘exclusive’ vibe. This show seemed to just be ‘bring whatever you have that’s modified and park it in the lot’. I think it’s more a sign of the times rather than a negative of the HIN/NOPI show itself.
